The Burstfire SMG is a primary receiver available in Blacklight: Retribution.

Weapon Overview Edit

The Burstfire SMG is a Primary Receiver that fires 4 rounds when the trigger is pulled. It has a fast reload speed and low recoil, but low damage and range. Due to these factors, often it will take 2-3 bursts to kill, that's if all 4 bullets hit the target.

This weapon is strongly recommended for close-quarters engagement while firing from the hip, it shares the same accuracy as the Tactical SMG.

Only the Muzzle, Scope, and Magazine can be customized on this weapon.

Tactics Edit

Short ranged open sights are often the best for the Burstfire SMG. The 28 round magazine capacity limits the user to only 7 bursts. The option of an Extended magazine increases the maximum amount of ammunition in the magazine to 40 rounds, allowing 10 bursts.

The best muzzle types would be ones which increase the damage output on the Burstfire SMG. This allows the single damage of each bullet to be stacked increasing the total damage. Choosing a muzzle that decreases spread or recoil may be less effective as the weapon's base spread and recoil are already very low. Spamming and pre-firing with this weapon are exceptionally effective due to being burstfire with high accuracy.

Ammunition Edit

There are 5 different magazines available for the Burstfire SMG.
