The Exploding Tomahawk is a Gear weapon for Blacklight: Retribution.
Overview
The Exploding Tomahawk can be used for both Melee and ranged attacks and is unlocked at level 51. It deals 200 damage per melee hit or can deal 400 damage after being triggered to explode. In order to trigger the explosion the Exploding Tomahawk must be thrown first.
Usage
The Exploding Tomahawk is one of the more unique weapons available in the game. It is a very powerful explosive weapon, despite the radius being reduced to 2.0 meters in a patch. It is very similar to C4 Explosives from games like Call of Duty and Battlefield, except the tomahawk can be thrown instead of tossed or dropped. This results in a higher velocity and range for each throw, making it fairly easy to hit and kill enemies at longer ranges. It is a very efficient weapon in direct combat as long as the tomahawk is close enough to the opponent, and can also be used indirectly as a melee weapon.
The Melee Protection Gear and the Explosive Protection Gear may be used to mitigate their cosponsoring effects.
