The KTN8 Katana is a melee weapon that is purchasable from the Depot in-game in Blacklight: Retribution.

Overview

The KTN8 Katana is a Depot item used for Melee combat and was released for Blacklight: Retribution in patch 0.991.

It was the first melee weapon available for the depot. When used, it gives a tremendous speed boost that actually makes the KTN8 Katana competitive against automatic rifles, as its wielder will be very hard to hit.

This weapon has two different attacks:

Primary

Default mouse 1: Launches the wielder towards the enemy, killing them instantly (After the September update of 2016, it now does 200 damage). This attack requires some time to charge in between attacks. Holding this button down will ready the KTN8 Katana. When released the player will lunge forward and swing the weapon.

Secondary

Default mouse 2: The wielder rapidly swings the KTN8 Katana inflicting 200 damage. This attack is ideal when engaging multiple targets, as it doesn't have a charge time, but it doesn't launch the wielder towards the enemy either.
