The KTN8 Katana is a Depot item used for Melee combat. It is unlocked at level 39. It was released into Blacklight: Retribution with patch 0.991. It is the first melee weapon available in the depot. When used, it gives a tremendous speed boost that actually makes the katana competitive against automatic rifles, as its wielder will be very hard to hit.
It has two different attacks
Primary: Default mouse 1: launches the wielder towards the enemy, killing them instantly, but the attack does require some time to charge inbetween attacks.
Secondary: Default mouse 2: the wielder swings the katana, causing multiple attack, this attack usually takes 2 hits to kill a enemy with full health, but is ideal for attacking multiple targets, as it doesn't have a charge time, but it doesn't launch the wielder towards the enemy either.
