The Marketplace was removed from the game on 20 December 2012, with patch 0.993 (World's End Update). It was partly replaced by the Mini Mart, though most items will be purchased through the Customization menu.
The Marketplace in Blacklight: Retribution is where players can buy new items like weapons, weapon attachments, camouflage colors, taunts, bonus packs, premade heroes, gear, depot items, and ammunition.
Currencies[edit | edit source]
The default currency is ZEN, which can be bought from Perfect World and resembles real money, but it is also possible to buy items permanently with Game Points (GP), which are earned for playing the game.
Purchase Options[edit | edit source]
The game features a number of purchase options for players to select. Not all options may be available for a specific item all the time due to level restrictions, and some items will never have a specific purchase option at all (i.e. special ammunition is not available as a permanent purchase)
Duration[edit | edit source]
- 1 Day
- 7 Days
- 30 Days (only available with ZEN)
Payment Options[edit | edit source]
- GP Price
- ZEN Price
The actual price in each currency will depend on the Duration. Note that for the Game Point price to be available, there may be a minimum level requirement. When buying items with ZEN, this requirement is bypassed and the item can be used immediately, regardless of a player's level. There is a variety of Premium Items that can only be bought with ZEN.
Appearance[edit | edit source]
The Marketplace used to be organized in a tree-like structure to sort items by categories. In a later update, a lot of those categories were removed. Now available items are sorted by their unlock level. But it is still possible to use one of the filter categories on the left hand menu to filter for a specific item category. Some players may prefer the Customization menu to the Marketplace, as it gives a preview of how an item will affect your stats if equipped.
