The Revolver is a Secondary Weapon Receiver that is available in the Customization Menu. It is purchasable at Agent Level 25 with GP or purchased at any level with ZEN.

Weapon Overview

A large double-action wheel gun harking back to the days of the American Wild West, the Revolver is one of the lowest ammunition capacity weapons in-game with a 6 rounds cylinder; only the Bolt-Action Rifle carries fewer rounds in it's magazines. However, the Revolver can deal out punishing amounts of damage with two shots to down any enemy at close range.

Upon its first release, the Revolver dealt 150 damage per bullet, but has since been reduced to 125 damage per bullet as part of a weapon-balancing patch. The Revolver itself can be customized with Scopes and Revolver Mags.

Tactics

One of the most popular choices for a secondary weapon, the Revolver's greatest strength is it's sheer stopping power. Although its recoil is relatively high for a pistol, the Revolver's rate of recovery is also quick.

An able backup for any Primary Weapon, the Revolver has only one key weakness: low Ammunition supply. There are no attachments available for the Revolver that increase its Magazine capacity, so remember to make every shot count, lest you find yourself reloading in an awkward situation. Ideally, limit yourself to single, one-on-one engagements with the enemy; as in any tactical situation, remember to use your HRV often, and avoid small clusters of hostiles.

• Use this weapon to complement primary receivers that lack long range capabilities or burst damage.
• The Infrared Scopes work great with this weapon.

The Revolver in Blacklight: Tango Down

The Revolver is a 6-shot, high recoil pistol fills in the Secondary slot of a player's loadout. The Revolver is only capable of accepting sights and optical attachments. It has high damage each shot, but it has an extremely low rate of fire.

Trivia

• The Revolver draws heavily from the designs of such firearms as the American Colt Anaconda and the Russian MP-412 REX, both of which are heavy framed pistols designed primarily for hunting. Their large calibers and reliability, however, have made such weapons popular among special forces and personal sidearms.
• The Revolver visually looks identical to the Dan Wesson PPC.
